Did you know…dirty sinks lead to less hand washing! With covid-19 here, my sink is always full but it isn’t stopping me from washing my hands every 5 minutes. People think they are overdoing it with the amount of times they wash their hands, but in fact that’s how often you’re supposed to wash them. Why are your hands dry?
Washing your hands removes your skins natural oils/wax and breaks down the natural moisture barrier which can lead to dry, red itchy hands.

How can I avoid dry, red or itchy hands?
Use a mild, fragrance-free soap. Fragrances can irritate chapped/sensitive skin. Also, don’t over lather it as it will wash your natural oils away. A humidifier also helps alleviate the symptoms of dry skin and eczema due to dry air, allergies or asthma. Lastly, use a good moisturiser, something that doesn’t stay on the surface and penetrates through. Fact... Hands are often neglected, but its one of the first places where signs of ageing appear.
