We have finally reached the end of England's 2nd National Lockdown, and its time again to re-open our doors. For the entire beauty industry combined, 2020 has proven to be a challenging one for us all.

We've put together some guidelines to get you into the right place for opening; ensuring that yourself, your customers & your staff stay safe. Time is precious now, as we have already done a lot of waiting to open up... However it is completely fine to take the time you need to get your resources together, ensuring your workplace is a safe space for everyone.

Remember, its ok to take extra time if you need to. Be sure to give constant updates to your customers and let them know what you have been going through; you’ll be surprised at the support you receive back.

1.       Be sure to have plenty of stock of Antibacterial Hand Gel & Wash available to everyone entering your salon. Wash your hands thoroughly between customers

2.       Regularly wipe down surfaces and equipment around the salon. This also includes payment and washroom areas.

3.       Remember to use social distancing measures. Where you can, make space between treatment areas to ensure clients feel safe when moving around.

4.       Wear gloves and face masks when coming into contact with your customers.

5.       Ask your staff and customers to stay home if they are feeling unwell. Also for customers to attend their bookings alone to limit the amount of people in your salon.

6.       Consider making a checklist of Safety measures to make sure all of your staff are aware of the changes made in their workplace. Keep up to date with government guidelines and share this with them.

7.       Keep a good relationship with your customers and update them along the way.

Most of all, Enjoy your time re-opening. Try to make it less stressful and always ask questions, this is an uncertain time for us all and so we need to best support each other where ever we can.
